WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files that are downloaded to a user’s device (PC, tablet or phone) when that user visits a specific website. Typically, cookies include the following: the name of the server from which the cookie was downloaded; the expiration date and cookie number (usually a randomly generated unique number). Cookies themselves do not contain any information and are not intended to collect such information, and their storage is completely under the control of the user’s browser.
WHAT DO YOU NEED COOKIES FOR?
Cookies are primarily intended to improve the user experience. With cookies, the exchange of information between the user and the website is easier and faster because the website “remembers” the user’s settings for a specific session (session cookies) or for a longer time (persistent cookies).
The website may use its own cookies (first-party cookies) or cookies from other websites or services that display their information on the page the user is viewing (additional cookies), such as Facebook.
The user can restrict or disable the function of saving cookies at any time by changing the cookie settings in his browser:
